What to Expect from the GHD Blog: A Journey to Becoming a Better Human

Welcome to GHD! I'm so glad you're here!!

Let me walk you through the journey we're creating together as the GoodHuman Community! This is a journey to be the best humans we can beto live lives that fulfill us, and uplift and give to those around us—not only making our own little world better, but the greater world a little better too. Seems lofty, I know, but I'm here to get sh*t done, make the impact I dream of, and inspire enough kindness to fuel positive actions that create ripples of happiness within ourselves AND those around us.

Does this sound like a cause you want to join?

Then let's get after it... together!🤍

First, we must begin with ourselves because we've gotten so lost in the chaos of giving away time, energy, and attention to superficial things that there isn't really anything left of ourselves to authentically and truly give to others.

So, in the meantime, I've got the giving part covered.

As we embark on this journey together, a portion of our merchandise profits will be donated to help kids unlock their full potential and become their best selves by providing Wi-Fi, ensuring they have access to complete their assignments from home. I promise, as we progress through this journey, our hearts will become so full you'll have endless (or at least a willing amount) of energy to give authentically to others.

Once we've found the Good within ourselves, we'll be putting that to use in our next series:

Kindness to Others—this will bring our full transformation together with a beautiful, confident, happy, joyful, and love-filled bow on top. As we continue to grow together, the GoodHuman Community will be a fearless force of positivity and productivity, infusing happiness and kindness into this world and into our Selves and we'll go to work together making our dreams a reality and the world around us a better place.

**Take note: I will be referring at times to self/selves with a capital S because this for me symbolizes my insides, a part of me that deserves recognition; myself is the physical me, my Self is my spiritual me, and she deserves a capital S, as a Proper Noun.

How do I know this?

Because I lived it. I came from the shadows of my deepest darkest self, I acknowledged them, I took their hand and showed compassion and forgiveness, and I set out on a mission to become the best version of myself. And as I continue to transform (progress, not perfection), I've recognized that I have extra capacity to give kindness, show generosity to those around me, and be present enough to witness how that type of GoodHuman activity can change someone's mood, having a ripple effect on the humans they engage with next— and ripple by ripple, a wave of positivity and kindness can be created.

GHD community is my exact journey of where I was and how I started, to where I am today, having this conversation with you now. The journey of what I learned and how I coached myself to wake up 2 hours before seeing patients, work on my Self and my dreams, to release the scarcity mindset and live in abundance, and to help take you, a human who wants to change, who wants to improve, who wants to take control of their life, through the same fearless journey I took myself, all while being a BetterHuman to others.

Twice a month on Thursdays,

I’ll share a note packed with realistic action steps, inspirational tips, and motivational stories to guide us on this journey together. I also want to celebrate GoodHumans around us, so if you have any GoodHumans in your life that you want to recognize, send me their info and their story on the contact page and I'll be sure to spotlight them. It's important to find those around us who we can emulate and cheer for, rather than feel jealous and envy. This is a community where we bring together great people, who are doing good things, have a desire to be better, and live a life of happiness for themselves, while spreading kindness to others

Don’t miss all the GoodStuff—Join my email list to get GHD delivered right to your inbox, and we'll get after this journey together.

Let's. F*cking. Do. This. I've got you.

With gratitude,

Taryn
