Project Fearless: The Ultimate Guide to Building Confidence, Achieving Fitness Goals, and Taking Action
Taryn MajewskiHi GoodHuman! Thank you for being here! 🙏😊
When Project Fearless started, it was an incredibly personal project. TBH, for the last year and half I've been practicing it, only my core inner circle knew what I was up to. It sounded SO silly to talk about this type of project in the real world—whether at work with my colleagues or even with close-knit family, like my in-laws or extended relatives.
I assumed their thoughts would be "This girl is psycho. Who does things like this?"
Over time, as I completed my own Project Fearless projects, I began receiving texts from those I had shared my personal growth secret with. What I didn’t realize was that my crew of confidants took our conversations during coffee dates or walks and applied them to their own lives!
Today's blog post is sharing the story of someone who has been in my corner from day one, my cousin, Sari.
Let's set the scene 🎬🍿
I remember rushing to get ready for Saturday night plans when her text stopped me in my tracks. I squealed with pride and joy—celebrating her moment of power, strength, and confidence! Here's her story of using Project Fearless to shatter her barriers around fitness and gain the confidence to achieve what most only dream of!
*Just typing this, I'm filled with "Fu** yeah, you go girl!"* energy! ⚡
**Bolding to show extreme excitement
✨Here's her story!👏
"Everyone’s heard the saying “step by step,” but what does it really mean? Project Fearless embodies that mantra—and so much more. For many of us, the hardest part of doing something new is simply taking the first step. Once you conquer that initial hurdle, the path forward becomes much easier to navigate.
Project Fearless has been the spark for change in my life,
and for me, it all began with small steps that gradually snowballed into bigger decisions. One example of this momentum is when I set a goal to run my longest distance yet—5 miles—in November 2023. (The above mentioned celebration text 🥳) At the time, 5 miles felt like a daunting number. As a casual runner, I ran frequently but never more than 3 or 4 miles at a time, and I wasn’t sure if I could complete a 5 mile run. Once I set out to hit the goal, finished my first 5 mile run, and realized it was achievable, something shifted. Suddenly, the next step didn’t feel so intimidating.
I began pushing myself a little further, one step at a time.
5 miles became 5.5, 5.5 became 6, and eventually 6 became 7. With each new distance, I gained confidence and momentum. I kept showing up for myself, and slowly, the fear of starting melted away. That’s when I made a decision I never thought I’d make: I signed up for a half marathon in May 2024.
Through dedicated training, I ran 176 miles in preparation for the race, and on May 19th, I completed the 13.1 miles—just six months after using Project Fearless to accomplish my first long-distance run of 5 miles.
For many of us, the fear of not being good enough, smart enough, or fast enough can paralyze us, keeping us from ever taking that first step toward our dreams.
But Project Fearless is the antidote to that self-doubt.
It’s the catalyst that propels you forward. And you never know where it might take you once you begin." — Sari
As I continue sharing the power of Project Fearless, I want to let you in on a game-changing secret—this works for any action, for anyone, as long as you hold yourself accountable, like a freaking school project due on Monday. If being a good student mattered to you, if learning mattered to you, then treat Project Fearless as your personal growth accelerator. Use it to build confidence and become the person you’ve always dreamed of being.
I'm here for you. I believe in you. Let's use Project Fearless to Become BetterHumans.
